Since opening on March 1, 1972, the Nuremberg U-Bahn has been the backbone of public transit in Nuremberg and Fürth. It was Germany's first subway to introduce a fully driverless line, ensuring efficient travel across its 38-kilometer network with three lines. Today, 66 percent of Nuremberg's residents are conveniently connected to the network.
