Guided Story
Look up and notice the distinctive tower top. The White Tower isn't just architecturally stunning; it has a remarkable history. Imagine, in the Middle Ages, it was part of one of Nuremberg's key defenses. Just behind you, to the northeast, you'll find the Marriage Carousel Fountain, a modern artwork humorously depicting the ups and downs of marriage. To your left, about 86 meters away, stands the impressive dome of St. Elisabeth Church. If you look southwest, you can spot St. Jakob Church, another site worth visiting. The best time to be here? Definitely late afternoon when the setting sun casts a warm glow over the tower.
