The memorial stone for Friedrich Ludwig Jahn, founder of the German gymnastics movement, was created in 1952 by sculptor Josefthomas Brinkschröder. Made from Anröchter stone, the monument stands three meters tall and weighs six tons. Erected to mark the 100th anniversary of Jahn's death, it commemorates his pivotal role in German gymnastics history.
