Nonnenturm

Standing here, you are in front of the Nonnenturm, a remarkable remnant of Plauen's medieval city fortifications. This tower is one of the few remaining structures that vividly illustrates the defensive strategies of the past. Look around, and you’ll notice its strategic placement, once crucial for protecting the city. To the southwest, you'll find the Julius Mosen monument, while the Vogtlandtheater is a short walk north. The Nonnenturm itself stands as a significant heritage monument in Saxony, preserving its history and offering a glimpse into the medieval era.
