Guided Story
Take a moment to look around and notice the stunning marble façade that gives the palace its name. Did you know these stones were imported all the way from Italy? King Friedrich Wilhelm II spared no expense to create his summer paradise. To your left, by the edge of the Holy Lake, is what appears to be an ancient temple ruin. It’s actually the palace kitchen in disguise—a clever illusion! Behind you lies the expansive New Garden, designed in the English style. Hidden within its nooks are delightful surprises, like that obelisk over there. It's the perfect spot to soak in the regal tranquility that still lingers in the air.
