Guided Story
Imagine standing here in the 18th century, watching as a royal procession passes through this very gate. That's right, it was Frederick the Great who had the vision to transform Potsdam into a grand residence city. Look up at those towers—they might seem ornamental now, but they were once part of a defensive structure protecting the city. Head east, and you'll find the Dutch Quarter, with its charming brick houses reminiscent of Amsterdam. And just behind you to the west, you'll see the Jägertor, another piece of the old city fortifications. Potsdam is a city of stories, and every corner here has one to tell.
