Heil- und Pflegeanstalt Karthaus-Prüll

The Karthaus-Prüll Institution in Regensburg commemorates the victims of Nazi forced sterilization and euthanasia. This memorial, created by Gunter Demnig in 2020, bears an inscription remembering the approximately 620 forcibly sterilized individuals and the 12 Jewish patients transferred in 1940 and later murdered in the 'Aktion T4'. Made of brass, it is part of the Stolperschwellen that serve as a poignant reminder of this dark period.
