Built in 1901 as a lookout tower, the Bismarckturm Remscheid stands prominently at the edge of the city park. Now a 30-meter tall home to the Dr.-Hans-Schäfer Observatory of the Remscheid Adult Education Center, it served as an air raid warning station during World War II.
