The Documentation and Memorial at the former State Security Detention Center in Rostock examines the actions of the East German Ministry for State Security and remembers its victims. As a well-preserved architectural heritage site in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, it offers insights into a dark chapter of German history. Operated by the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Center for Civic Education, public guided tours are available from July to November on Thursdays at 3 pm.
