Guided Story
Imagine standing here in 1576. The air filled with the sound of hunting horns, noblemen in splendid attire moving through the forest. Behind you, where Forsthaus Neuhaus now stands, once stood the grand hunting lodge of the Counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken. Look around, the trees whisper tales of lavish hunts and glorious feasts. The Counts used this lodge not only for hunting but as an escape from the bustle of court life. Today, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature, walking the grounds and picturing the opulent festivities of the past. To the northeast, you can see the Steinbach and Netzbach Valley nature reserve, a place that has remained largely unchanged for centuries.
