Founded in 1133, Burg Castle stands prominently in the Burg an der Wupper district of Solingen. As the ancestral seat of the Counts and Dukes of Berg, it remains a significant symbol of the Bergisches Land. It is one of the largest castles in Western Germany and the most extensive reconstructed castle complex in North Rhine-Westphalia.
