Built in 1927 as part of the exhibition 'Die Wohnung', the Weißenhof Estate stands as a key example of early modern architecture in Stuttgart. Under Mies van der Rohe's direction, 17 architects designed 21 avant-garde houses. Among them was Le Corbusier, whose work is now part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
