Konrad-Adenauer-Brücke
A Steel Marvel Spanning the Mosel
Did you know?
The Konrad-Adenauer Bridge is the youngest Mosel bridge in Trier, made necessary by the development of a new industrial area on the site of the former Trier airport.
Guided Story
Look to your right, and you'll catch a glimpse of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Matthias, whose roots reach back to the early Middle Ages. Imagine pilgrims traveling long distances to venerate the relics of the Apostle Matthias. The bridge you're standing on is much newer, but it has its own story to tell. It was built to connect the city with an industrial area that sits on what used to be an airport. If you look back, you might even spot traces of the old runways. Here, where past meets present, you can feel how the city continuously evolves and grows.
