Guided Story

Imagine standing where some of the boldest design ideas of the 20th century were born. The very air seems to buzz with the creative energy that once filled these halls. Look up – the building itself is a testament to modern architecture, both thoughtful and functional. Did you know that Otl Aicher, one of the founders, designed the iconic pictograms for the 1972 Munich Olympics? These clear, comprehensible symbols are a perfect example of the HfG Ulm philosophy: design should always be useful and able to communicate. If you turn around, you’ll see the Fort Oberer Kuhberg in the distance. A short walk there could offer you another lesson in history.
