Örlinger Turm (Werk XXXVIII)

Here you stand in front of the impressive Örlinger Tower, also known as the Schwedenturm. Constructed in 1852, it is an integral part of the Ulm Fortress. This fortress once held significant military importance, and the tower stands as a testament to the engineering prowess of the 19th century. Its sturdy architecture gives you a sense of how vital such defensive structures were back then. Turning around, you might catch sight of the Ulm Cemetery, about 289 meters to the southwest. The proximity to other fortress works makes this entire area a fascinating historical setting.
