Once a coal mining site, the former Zeche Borbachtal is situated in the Borbach valley south of Annen. This small mine was operated by Heinrich Buddenhorn-Sohn and succeeded the original Zeche Borbachtal, which was active from 1913 to 1930. It continued operations under the name Zeche Bergmann from 1931 onwards.
