First documented in 1371, Neuhaus Castle is an impressive moated fortress in Wolfsburg's Neuhaus district. From 1423, it served as the knightly seat of the Rothehof branch of the Bartensleben family and maintained a military role until the 16th century. It was later converted into a ducal administrative house and an agricultural estate.
