Standing here in the Wormser Ried, you can sense the tranquility and unique character of this nature reserve. Since it became protected in 1968, this 35.3-hectare area has been home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Take a look around, and you'll spot the former settling ponds, which now serve as habitats for various bird species. The reed beds and remnants of alluvial forests are especially valuable for biodiversity in this area. If you look to the northwest, the Karl-Marx-Graben is not far away. Visiting here feels like a small escape into a different world, right in the southern part of Worms.
