Türelüre-Lißje-Brunnen

Standing here at the entrance to Klappergasse since November 19, 1967, is the Türelüre-Lißje Fountain. Created by Aachen sculptor Hubert Löneke, it is a testament to the city's artistic spirit. If you look to your left, you'll notice the Kind Jesu Chapel, about 45 meters to the northwest. The fountain itself is dedicated to the legendary figure of Türelüre-Lißje, a character deeply ingrained in local lore. You might feel a connection to Aachen's history as you take in the fountain's artistic details. Just 56 meters further in the same direction, you can spot the monument of the Defiant Blacksmith. This proximity of historical landmarks makes this area a true cultural hub.
