Designed by David Chipperfield, the James-Simon-Galerie serves as the entrance to Berlin's Museum Island. It stands on the site of the former Neues Packhof by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and is central to the Museum Island Master Plan alongside the Archaeological Promenade. Named after patron James Simon, it opens the door to Berlin's museums.
