The Victory Column in the Großer Tiergarten stands as one of Germany's most important national monuments. Designed by Heinrich Strack in a neoclassical style, it commemorates the 19th-century wars of unification. Atop the 67-meter column is Viktoria, created by Moritz Schulz and affectionately called 'Goldelse'.
