Did you know?
The design was created by Professor Krenz Architects.
Guided Story
Imagine yourself standing in a space that whispers tales of the Ruhr region's industrial past. Take a look around at the sturdy building wings. They echo the powerful legacy of the coal and steel industry that once thrived here. Yet, the Jahrhunderthaus brings this history into the present with a modern twist. The glass hall connecting these structures floods the space with light and openness. Did you know this building was constructed between 2004 and 2005? It almost feels timeless, perfectly nestled in its surroundings. If you glance southeast, you'll spot the Jahrhunderthalle, another stunning example of blending the old with the new. Strolling through the Westpark completes the experience, where industrial heritage and green spaces coexist beautifully.
