The Steiner Häuschen ruins in Bonn-Oberkassel are remnants of a medieval castle dating back to the 10th century. Owned by the Counts of Molbach in the late 12th century, it was later donated to the Cistercian Abbey of Heisterbach. In 1217, a lightning strike destroyed its tower, which was never rebuilt.
