The Artillerymen Memorial, also known as the Artillerie-Denkmal, was established in 1927. Following the destruction or removal of the human figure in 1945/46, the pedestal was re-erected in 1953 with new inscriptions and a bronze oak wreath by Hans Scheibel. In 2002, a sandstone coat of arms was added, enhancing its historical significance.
