Located at Dresden's Theaterplatz, the Sempergalerie, designed by Gottfried Semper in Neo-Renaissance style, houses the Old Masters Picture Gallery and the Sculpture Collection up to 1800. Built between 1847 and 1854, it was reconstructed from 1955 to 1960 after destruction in 1945. Recognized as a cultural heritage monument, the gallery stands 20 meters tall.
