Built in 1737 and designed by Johann David Räntz, the Neustädter Kirche in Erlangen is a Bavarian architectural heritage site. As a Lutheran church, it, along with the towers of the Altstädter Dreifaltigkeitskirche and the Hugenottenkirche, defines the city's skyline. Since 1837, it has also served as the university church for the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg.
