Did you know?
The botanical garden in Grugapark boasts an impressive collection of bonsais, which are a highlight of the park.
Guided Story
Can you hear the gentle splashing? That’s the fountain, just a short walk southeast from where you stand. Look up and you'll see the intricate branches of the bonsai trees, like living works of art. Did you know that the bonsai tradition originated in Japan and is a centuries-old art form? It requires incredible patience and dedication. Turn around slowly and take in the diversity of plants gathered here. Each tree and flower tells its own story. In spring, the scents are simply enchanting. And if you look to the west, you might catch a glimpse of the Romanesque House nearby. It's the perfect spot to pause for a moment and soak in the serene atmosphere.
