Erected in 1919 in the Eschenheimer Anlage, the Philipp Reis Memorial, designed by Friedrich Hausmann, honors the inventor of the telephone, Philipp Reis. The Art Nouveau style bust is placed between two youths using telephones and is a recognized cultural heritage site in Hesse.
