Guided Story
Can you hear the gentle rustling of leaves above you? These towering trees whisper tales from the past, when the old city walls of Frankfurt stood here. Look to your left, and you'll see the Beethoven Monument. Though Beethoven never lived in Frankfurt, his music often fills the air during concerts at the Alte Oper, just a short stroll north. In spring, you can enjoy the fragrance of cherry blossoms, while in autumn, the leaves glow in warm hues. Behind you, at the Taunus Gate, travelers once set off for the Taunus region, giving the park its name. Find a bench and soak in the tranquility, a rare treasure in the heart of the city.
