Built in 2000 in the vaulted cellar of the Francke Foundations, the Chapel of the Holy Cross captivates with its Orthodox iconography. Architect Wilfried Ziegemeier oversaw its construction, and it was consecrated by Archbishop Feofan. The intricate frescoes were crafted by Marina Sinanjan and Vladimir Stscherbinin, with the iconostasis designed by Eberhard Kull.

Here in the vaulted cellar of the Francke Foundations, you're surrounded by a remarkable blend of architecture and art. This Russian Orthodox chapel was constructed in 2000 under the guidance of architect Wilfried Ziegemeier. Take a moment to admire the splendid icons adorning the walls, crafted in the tradition of Orthodox art, depicting righteous figures and saints. The iconostasis, a key feature of any Orthodox church, was designed by Eberhard Kull. Just 14 meters to the west, you can spot the Chapel of St. George.
