Standing here by Vater Rhein, you're in the heart of the historic Hortus Palatinus. This fountain, also known as Rhenus, was once a central piece of this grand garden. Look around, and you'll spot the Great Grotto just 16 meters southeast. It's another fine example of baroque garden architecture that makes this place unique. To the northwest, about 132 meters away, lies the Schlossgarten, part of the grand vision Elector Frederick V had for this area. A bit further west, 204 meters away, you'll find the gently flowing Lower Princes' Fountain, another relic of the past. Enjoy this moment in the Hortus Palatinus, where history and nature come together in such a special way.
