Originally a free-fire zone for the fortress, the Glacis now serves as a sprawling park with wooded and meadow areas. Visitors can explore extensive walking and cycling paths or relax in one of the beer gardens. The Schutter flows through the Künettegraben and ultimately joins the Danube.

You're standing in the Glacis, a green belt of about 100 hectares that was originally created as a free-fire zone for the Ingolstadt fortress. Now, it's a popular park with expansive woodland and meadow areas. Look around and you'll find extensive walking and cycling paths winding through the landscape. The Schutter flows through the Künettegraben here before joining the Danube. Maybe you can hear the gentle sound of the water as you pass by one of the beer gardens. To the south, not far away, is the Bezirkssportanlage Mitte.
