Established in 1995, the Auf der Humpfert Nature Reserve covers 3.9 hectares of pristine land northwest of Letmathe. It borders the city of Hagen, adjacent to the larger Henkhauser- and Hasselbachtal Nature Reserve. The 1997 Iserlohn Landscape Plan ensures its protection.
