The Imperia statue, crafted by Peter Lenk and inaugurated on April 24, 1993, towers nine meters tall at the harbor of Constance. Cast in concrete, this sculpture rotates on its axis every four minutes during the day. It satirically represents the Council of Constance, inspired by a tale from Honoré de Balzac.
