Built between 1927 and 1928, the Kroch-Hochhaus marks a significant shift in Leipzig's architectural landscape. Designed by German Bestelmeyer, the 43.2-meter high concrete clock tower dominates the west side of Augustusplatz. As the city's first skyscraper, it is a protected cultural heritage monument, inscribed with 'OMNIA VINCIT LABOR'.
