Guided Story
Can you feel the breeze of history whispering? Look up at this majestic lion, proudly sitting on the north side of the cathedral. Did you know this is the second lion to stand here in Lübeck? The first one, made from artificial basalt, went missing during World War II. Behind you, in the distance, lies the Rantzau Castle. You can almost imagine Henry the Lion himself walking through Lübeck, his power and influence palpable. This bronze statue was erected in 1975, symbolizing resilience and new beginnings after dark times. It's a silent guardian, preserving the tales of the past.
