You're standing on the Neue Strombrücke, inaugurated back in 1965 during the DDR era. This bridge links the historic center of Magdeburg with the Elbe island Rotehorn and the district of Werder. To your left, you can see the tram tracks running across the bridge. Besides these, there are four lanes for motor vehicles and pedestrian and bicycle paths on both sides. It spans the Elbe River at river kilometer 326.53, providing you with a great view of the river. Just 105 meters to the north, you might notice the Flag Monument. This bridge serves as a crucial connector, facilitating movement across key parts of the city.
