The Golden-Ross-Kaserne in Mainz showcases baroque architecture at its finest. Built in 1766/1767 under Elector Emmerich Joseph von Breidbach zu Bürresheim, the structure was designed by Jakob Joseph Schneider. A larger-than-life golden horse figure above the main entrance gives the complex its name. It now houses the Landesmuseum Mainz on 'Große Bleiche' street.
