The Historic Mill of Sanssouci is a reconstruction of a smock mill that was originally built between 1787 and 1791 under Frederick William II. Located just west of the Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam, this unique mill is tied to the legend of the Miller of Sanssouci and is protected as an architectural heritage monument in Brandenburg. The reconstruction took place from 1986 to 1995 after the original was destroyed by fire in 1945. The mill stands 25.78 meters tall and was designed by Cornelius Wilhelm van der Bosch.
