The New Chambers at Sanssouci were initially designed as an orangery for Frederick the Great by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff in 1747. Between 1771 and 1775, they were transformed into opulent guest apartments by Georg Christian Unger. This site is a notable part of Brandenburg's architectural heritage and is included in the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin.
