First documented in 1276, St. Nicholas' Church is the oldest of Stralsund's three main Protestant parish churches. The striking Brick Gothic structure is a heritage monument in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. It is dedicated to Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of sailors and merchants.
