The Rotes Haus on Trier's market square was constructed in 1684 by Wolfgang Stuppeler for Johann Wilhelm Polch. Destroyed in 1944, it was rebuilt between 1968 and 1970 and now houses a café. Its façade features a Latin inscription highlighting Trier's remarkable history.
