The Große Grotte on the western slope of Belvedere Park in Weimar is an artificial ruin built around 1815. Originally known as the 'Grotto with Water Pranks,' it was transformed into a decayed chapel through which the wind howls. Notable features include a wall fountain on the ground floor and the view from the platform into the Possenbach Valley.
