Villa Hanf in Witten, built in 1903 in Art Nouveau style, was the home of Moritz and Rebecca Hanf. During the Kristallnacht in 1938, the couple hid in the cellar as the house was vandalized. Stolpersteine now commemorate the family's fate, and the villa has been a heritage monument since 1983.
