The Finder's View

When someone scans your QR code, they see a specially designed page. Here's what appears:

Visible Information

  • Item name โ€” e.g., "Keys", "Laptop"
  • Description โ€” If you added one
  • Photo โ€” If you uploaded one
  • Status โ€” "Possessed", "Lost", "Stolen", etc.
  • Chat โ€” To send a message directly

Not Visible to Finders

  • Your email address
  • Your real name (only display name)
  • Your phone number
  • Your location or other items

For "Lost" or "Stolen" Items

When you set a status, finders see a prominent notice. For "Stolen", they're informed the item may have been illegally obtained.
