The Label Designer

itemID's label designer is a powerful tool that lets you create personalized QR code labels that match your style. Whether you want a minimalist black-and-white sticker or a colorful label with icons and custom text, the designer gives you full creative control.

Access the label designer from any item's detail page by clicking "Create Label" or "Edit Label." The designer opens with a live preview that updates in real-time as you make changes.

Design Options

Templates

Choose from a curated library of templates designed for different use cases. Templates range from compact sticker designs to full-size luggage tags, pet collar tags, and emergency card formats. Each template is optimized for specific print dimensions and materials.

Colors and Styling

Customize the color scheme of your label, including background colors, text colors, and accent colors. You can match your label to your item's color, your brand colors, or simply pick what looks best. The designer ensures sufficient contrast between the QR code and background for reliable scanning.

Text and Icons

Add custom text to your label, such as the item name, a return message, or your city name. Choose from a library of icons to visually represent your item type — from key icons for keychains to paw prints for pet tags. The text automatically adjusts to fit the label layout.

Downloading Your Design

Once you're satisfied with your label design, download it as a high-resolution PDF ready for printing. The PDF includes crop marks for precise cutting and is sized to match standard label sheet formats. You can also save your design as a template for future items, so you maintain a consistent look across all your labels.
