Guided Story

Take a moment to admire the grandeur of this mural. You're looking at the longest porcelain artwork in the world. Hard to believe, right? Originally painted in 1876 using the sgraffito technique, it was later transferred onto over 24,000 Meissen porcelain tiles in 1907 to withstand the elements. Look up and you'll notice how the vibrant colors still shine, almost as if they were freshly painted. Imagine the Saxon electors and kings parading through time, each figure telling its own story. Just behind you, the Langer Gang stretches out, linking this artistic tradition with the majestic Stallhof.
