The City Palace in Potsdam, a masterpiece of Frederican Rococo, was designed by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff and remodeled between 1747 and 1750. Founded in 1662, it served as the residence of Brandenburg electors and Prussian kings from 1670. Since 2013, it stands renewed at the Old Market in Potsdam.
