Who can see my alerts?

Alert Visibility

Community alerts are designed to reach the right people while protecting your privacy.

Who Sees Your Alert

• Community members only: Only people who have joined the same community can see your alert
• Topic subscribers: Within the community, only members subscribed to the relevant topic receive a notification
• Radius-filtered: Members outside the alert radius may still see the alert on the community page but will not receive push notifications

What Is Shared

• Alert title and description
• The topic category
• The approximate area (radius)
• When the alert was created
• Alert status (active, resolved, expired)

What Is NOT Shared

• Your exact home address
• Your phone number or email
• Your profile details beyond your display name

Resolving Alerts

When the situation is resolved (e.g., a lost item is found), you can mark the alert as resolved. Resolved alerts remain visible for reference but are no longer actively notified.
