The alert radius defines how far from the alert's location other members are notified — helping you reach the right people nearby.

Go to your alert detail page and tap "Mark as Resolved". This notifies subscribers and moves the alert out of the active list.

Your alerts are visible to community members subscribed to the relevant topic who are within the alert's radius. Your personal information is not shared.

Community alerts let you notify nearby members when something goes missing. Use structured options to describe circumstances and traits — no typing needed.

Community badges reward active participation — you earn them by posting alerts, reporting sightings, verifying information, and helping your neighbours find their belongings.

You receive notifications when alerts are posted in your subscribed topics. Control what you receive through your topic and notification preferences.

Community Networks are designed with privacy at their core. Your personal information is never shared with other members — all interactions happen anonymously through the platform.

Each community has a unique QR code that links to its page. Scan it to join directly, view alerts, or report a sighting — no searching required.

You can report inappropriate community content. If multiple people report the same content, it is automatically hidden and sent for moderation review.

When you report a sighting on a community alert, the alert owner receives a notification with your sighting details. All communication stays anonymous until both parties choose to share more.

Community members can submit sighting reports when they think they have spotted a missing item or pet. Reports use structured data for confidence, conditions, and movement direction.

Structured content chips are predefined tags you can add to community alerts to provide quick, standardised details about lost items — like colour, size, or distinguishing features.

Topics are categories of alerts within a community — such as lost items, missing pets, or emergencies. Subscribe to the ones that matter to you.

You can report any alert or sighting that violates community guidelines by clicking the flag icon and selecting a reason — moderators will review the report promptly.

Go to a community you belong to, tap "Create Alert", choose a topic, describe the situation, set a radius, and submit.

Find a community on the Discover page, tap "Join", and optionally share your location so you receive alerts near you.

Go to an active alert and tap "Report a Sighting". Describe when and where you saw the item, optionally add a photo, and choose your contact preference.

When creating or viewing alerts, tap the interactive map to set a location and see the alert radius. All sightings appear as markers with a connecting trail.

Medical alerts help locate missing persons who carry a medical ID — such as elderly individuals with dementia or people with medical conditions who may need urgent help.

Notification digests bundle multiple community alerts into a single email summary, sent hourly or daily based on your preference.

Push notifications deliver real-time browser alerts for community activity near you, even when you are not on itemID.

The sighting map shows all reported sightings for an alert on an interactive map, with a trail connecting them to help track movement patterns.

It depends on your contact preference. You can choose to stay anonymous, allow direct contact, or decline contact entirely. Your email is never shared publicly.

Trust Levels reflect your activity and standing in the community — the more you contribute positively, the higher your level and the more alerts you can create each day.

Community Networks are local groups on itemID that connect people in the same area — helping neighbours watch out for each other's belongings and pets.
